Description
After six decades of accumulation and development, artificial intelligence has
begun to explode in recent years, based on new developments in deep learning,
cross-industry integration, human-machine collaboration, and swarm intelligence. In
today’s society, artificial intelligence has penetrated into many fields such as network
search, big data analysis, biometric information recognition, unmanned driving, and
smart medical care, and this is just the initial stage. Technology experts, business
experts, and innovative companies, including young entrepreneurs, are now working
together on a plan to promote innovation and development of AI in China. The
development of artificial intelligence in the next stage will be even more stunning.
Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council issued the 2017 Government Work
Report, pointing out that the need to accelerate the cultivation and growth of
emerging industries including artificial intelligence, and for the first time, “artificial
intelligence” was included in the government work report. The State Council issued
the “New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan”, requiring primary
and secondary school students to take artificial intelligence courses and promote
programming education. The Ministry of Education is also officially introducing
artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and big data processing into the reform
of the new high school curriculum. The launch of this series of teaching materials
will further accelerate the promotion and popularization of artificial intelligence
knowledge in the junior schools.
The development of AI relies on the education and the attention of the whole
society. Only by starting from a young age, popularizing and learning AI as early
as possible, can we gain more professionals for social development and provide
professionals for the implementation of national plan. It can be said that in the near
future, people who don’t understand artificial intelligence will be eliminated by
society just like those who don’t know how to use computers now. We look forward
to our students, through the study of artificial intelligence courses, to increase
their confidence in the development of the country in the new era, and to lay the
foundation for the country to become a superpower in the next stage.
Fortunately to learn about the compilation process of this set of textbooks, in
order to provide young friends with a set of in-depth, interesting and easy-to-read
“artificial intelligence” professional books, the editors have put in a lot of hard work
and effort to compile high-quality books, and the hardship involved is admirable. I
hope that this set of books would lead the youth to understand the concept of artificial
intelligence, learn the professional knowledge of artificial intelligence, and lead them
to travel in the magic world of artificial intelligence.
