Huang Ruiyun (1932- ), pseudonym Huang Huangshan, professor, was born in
Loudi city, Hunan Province. In 1958, he graduated from the Department of Chinese
Language and Literature, Wuhan University. He taught at Hubei Workers and Peasants
Middle School, Hubei Institute of Education, Central China Normal University and
Hubei Normal University. In 1989, he was awarded the “Model Worker of National
Educational System”, “National Excellent Teacher” and the “People’s Teacher
Medal”. From 1991, he was one of the first experts to enjoy the “Special Government
Allowance” from the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.
Huang Ruiyun, a member of the Chinese Writers Association, has been engaging
in literary creation in his spare time while specializing in teaching and researching
classical Chinese literature. He is the author of such books as “The Original of Lao
Tzu”, “The Original of the Analects of Confucius”, “The Original of Mencius”, “The
Original of Zhuangzi”,”Selected Poems”, “Collection of Poems”, and “Selected
Lyrical Poems from the Past Dynasties “and” Three Hundred Excellent Poems from
the Past Dynasties”. He is one of the editors of “Collection of Poems and Essays of
the Past Dynasties”. His works include “Huang Ruiyun’s Collection of Prose”, “New
Collection of Poems”, “Collection of Poems”, “Happy Dali Kanman” and “The
Fables of Huang Ruiyun” and so on
